Pompeiian Villa is an historic house located in Port Arthur Texas. This home is beautiful inside and out. It’s a part of Port Arthur history. It was built in the 1900 for Isaac Ellwood of DeKalb, Illinois. It was designed by architects George C. Nimmons and William K. Fellows to be reminiscent of villas in ancient Pompeii, a Roman city destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. The Port Arthur Historical Society purchased the house in 1973 and undertook a large-scale renovation.
